GALLERY I & II, PROJECT ROOM

NWSP 10
Kevin Hutcheson and Kristian Körner
18 Oct - 16 Nov 2003

Kevin Hutcheson has recently made work using books and magazines, found text and imagery. He feels that these are appropriate materials to think through ideas about narrative, audience and also abstraction. He is showing a new sculptural work, along with collages that look at poster and magazine design and drawings of individuals studying in ‘A Library’.

Kristian Körner’s work is about the membrane between what we receive through perception and the process that we go through to make the world possible.
A still dark water surface functions as a mirror and provides us with a version of the world that is, in itself penetrable. A surface that suggests reflection, and alternative possibility to sink into. The volume of our thoughts, its surface as a mirror.
